*****THIS CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED*****
I pay strangers to sleep with me. I have my reasons…
But they’re not the ones you expect. For starters, I’m a funeral director taking over my dad’s business. Not exactly the sort of person you’d expect to fork over cash for the lust and urgency only live, skin-to-skin contact can create. Looking at me, you wouldn’t have a clue I carry this little secret so close it creases up like the folds of a fan. Tight. Personal. Ready to unravel in the heat of the moment.
Unsurprisingly, my line of work brings me face to face with loss. So I decided long ago that paying for sex would be one of the best (and arousing) ways to save myself from the one thing that would eventually cut far too deep.
But Sam was a mistake. Literally. I signed on to “pick up” a stranger at a bar, but took Sam home instead. And now that I’ve felt his heat, his sweat and everything else can I really go back to impersonal?
Let’s just hope he never finds out about my other life…
Where you can find Megan:
Blog
Author Bio: I was born and I lived awhile and did some stuff, and then some other things happened. Finally, I finished with that and started something else, and in 2007 my first book with Spice came out. It was called Dirty. Now I do things and write about stuff and spend some time attempting to achieve accomplishments, but mostly I like to hang around and spend my time doing whatnot and things.
Interview Questions:
1.) How did you get started in writing and how long have you been doing it? I’ve been writing ever since I could and decided to make a full-time go of it, officially, in 1998 when I became a stay-home mom.
2.) What genres/subgenres are your favorites to write within and do you have any aspirations to write outside your current genres/subgenres. Try something new? I really love fantasy and science fiction and would really love to write a horrifyingly terrifying horror novel someday. I’ve written fantasy and SF and would love to keep doing that. I got started with historical romance because I loved it so much, but I prefer to write contemporary, and I suppose I prefer to keep the bedroom door open rather than closed.
3.) What are you working on now and what releases do you have coming up? Right now I’m working on edits, edits, edits, but next on my plate is my third Order of Solace novel which will come out from Berkley Sensation sometime in 2010. I’ll have two Order of Solace novels, which are historical fantasy, sensual romance, out in the fall of 2009. I’ll also have my next release from Spice, DEEPER, which is a contemporary erotic paranormal novel (phew, what a mouthful) and that comes out in July.
Readers, here is the contest part. Answer this question in the comments to be entered in a drawing for a copy of STRANGER. Check back to tomorrow for the announcement of the winner. The winner will have until May 5th (that’s the last day of the contest) to contact me in order to collect the prize.
Tell us about one of your obsessions:
Megan says: Just one? Bah! Well, I’d have to say that right now Supernatural is my obsession. I love that show with the passionate fire of ten thousand fiery suns. It just keeps getting better and better and better. I love it so much I want to bake it pie and do its laundry.
Okay, blog readers, now you tell us about one of YOUR obsessions.
I am totally obsessed with book collecting and reading. I have to say collecting first because i’m a mood reader so i have to have plenty to choose from for the mood i’m in lol! Awesome contest!

by stacey smith April 9th, 2009 at 5:44 pmI am totally and completely obsessed with picking at my skin.
I could pick at my face for hours. Pushing out my pores, plucking my eye brows. I tend to do it very late at night when I should be sleeping (or reading!) and it usually ends up hurting my face because I just don’t stop! I really should stop…..
by Jessica Kennedy April 9th, 2009 at 5:48 pmCongrats on your upcoming release!!
Obsession….my books!! And anything to do with my books…following an author I’m ‘hooked’ on, finding new authors, following a series, my bookshelf and ‘puter library, making and updating my lists of TBR, TBB and owned books…….just anything to do with my books!! LOL

by Amy S. April 9th, 2009 at 6:50 pmMy obsession is books and contests. And if it’s a contest for a book then I get to feed both obsessions in one go!

by Kammie April 9th, 2009 at 7:06 pmOh! One of big obsession is cross-stitching. I love collecting cute patterns and stitching them up to see the finish products. 😀

by limecello April 9th, 2009 at 7:42 pmBooks, and food. I LOVE talking about food. If I could be a food writer/critic, or … grow up to be Jeffrey Steingarten, my life would be perfect.
I’d love to be in for Strangers! Yum!!!
by Caffey April 9th, 2009 at 8:05 pmOk besides my obsession for books? LOL Dry cheerios, (LOL), I used to check the stove knobs about 3 or 4 times a night but hubby worked with me on that one and its only 2 times a night now, LOL
Books, books, books and reading are my obsession. Well, not very original I know, but, that’s they way it is. 😀 Along with forensic type shows on tv and my family, especially my grandkids. 😀
by PhyllisC April 9th, 2009 at 8:05 pmRight now I am into a serious book obsession. I cannot go into a book store and walk out with empty hands. Very easily….
by Virginia Hendricks April 9th, 2009 at 8:12 pmReading by far is my obsession. Any chance I get you will find me with book in my hands 😀
by Michele April 9th, 2009 at 8:42 pmMain obsession is books. I have 6,785 according to my Byron database. I can’t imagine I’ll get through the ones I have but I keep on getting more!
I tend to be a little obsessive about anything I collect. I love crafts so I started taping the shows. All of them. Even the episodes I’m not interested in.
by Lynda April 9th, 2009 at 9:36 pmI’ve repeated this many times to many different people, my one true obsession is reading and writing. Of course, lately I would have to add blogging. And chocolate, the world would come to an end without it. End of civilization. 🙂
by Dottie Taylor April 9th, 2009 at 10:57 pmObsession? Necessity! I must have books – print books, ebooks, paperbacks, hardcovers – any book. I love paranormals, erotica, straight romance, fantasy. Get the picture? I have 1000’s of them, and I re-read them over and over again, enjoying them the fourth time just as much as I did the first.
by Mickey April 10th, 2009 at 1:03 amI have to say my obsession right now is The Drak Series by Christine Feehan. It seems I’ve been reading this series forever and it takes so long to get a new book. I know it takes a while to write, but I have no patience. lol
by mary Kirkland April 10th, 2009 at 1:52 amsay blog reading about romance and romance books from other and book lovers like me
by kh April 10th, 2009 at 2:18 amBesides reading (I’m writing my first paranormal romance novel, so I tell the kids it’s research so they won’t bother me), it would be chocolate chip cookie dough. If I am depressed, it’s the only thing that makes me feel better. We keep it in the house with a big “MOMMY’S – KEEP OFF” sign.
by Jeanie Ryan April 10th, 2009 at 9:47 amCoffee, definitely coffee. Have to have it every day. I freak out a little when we get low on coffee. Yes, seriously obsessed with coffee.
by Nicole April 10th, 2009 at 1:27 pmDefinitely books. Erotica, paranormal, fantasy, romance… books 🙂
