In this sensuous and lust-filled otherworld, the Chosen are vampires fighting for their very existence.
It is Daria’s destiny to become one of them…
Daria Morris is a special forces agent with one obsession: to wreak vengeance on the brutal vampire who nearly destroyed her. Now she’s finally about to get her chance, on one condition. She must become something she detests: a vampire.
Her fate rests upon one man’s lethal bite. His name is Alejandro Martinez, and he can help her infiltrate a highly guarded group of the Chosen. But Alejandro is also a distraction for Daria. Because thirteen years ago, they shared a scorching night of passion neither has forgotten.
Now, while Daria struggles against her newfound bloodlust, the two must slip into the shadows to bring a monster to justice—even as their desire threatens to consume them. But under the cover of night, they’ll discover that it’s the darkness within that may stand in the way of their hunger for retribution…

Important contest flotsam and jetsam. Please read….
I’m taking off for a few days at Disney, then I’ll be at the Romantic Times Bookclub Convention. After today, the daily book contests go on hiatus because I’ll be at Disney. The contests will resume once I get to the Romantic Times (RT) Convention hotel, on April 22nd. If you’re not familiar with RT, it’s a huge romance reader/romance author convention that Romantic Times Bookclub magazine puts on every year and is my reason for going to Florida.
I have the daily book contests set to start posting automatically again on the 22nd, so go ahead and enter every day. If for some reason I have internet connectivity issues, (I don’t anticipate any), once I get to the RT Con hotel hang tight and be patient. I’ll post the winners just as soon as I can.
Have fun while I’m off communing with Mickey, you all!!
….is Virginia H. She wrote, “greatest accomplishment? Getting my master’s degree. I always swore I was going to get it, so the day I walked across the stage and accepted it was one of the proudest moments of my life.”
Congrats, Virginia!!
You have until May 5th to contact me and collect your prize. You can use the contact form on my site. If that doesn’t work (had a couple reports saying it’s a bit wonky), email me at anyabast (at) gmail.com
Good luck in today’s contest for TAKING CARE OF BUSINESS, all!
One conference, two friends, two men who know how to take care of business.
After leaving the wrong man, Leah Griffin’s not ready to look for the right one. All she wants is to survive the conference she’s planning and spend some time with her best friend Kate Edwards. She’s not expecting the conference services manager to be so tall, dark and handsome…or so eager to please. It’s Brandon Long’s job to make Leah happy, but after a scorching interlude in her hotel room, neither can deny business has become pleasure.
Smart, driven and successful attorney, Katherine Edwards has spent her life making the right choices. Directly counter to those right choices, she’s involved in a long distance, secret love affair with a co-worker. Charles Dixon is a bad choice she can’t help but make – over and over. A conference and a promotion bring Kate back to Pennsylvania and suddenly, Dix wants far more than a few nights in random hotel rooms. He wants something permanent and Katherine has to figure out if sometimes a wrong choice isn’t exactly what a woman needs.
Author bio:The story goes like this – A few years ago, Lauren Dane decided to quit her job and stay home with her brand new second child. As a result, she had lots of conversations in a sing-song voice but no real outlet for adult thoughts and words. While on bed-rest with her pregnancy with the tiny monster, Lauren had plenty of down time so her husband brought home a second hand laptop and she decided to “give that writing thing a serious go.”
Lauren had no idea how fabulously wonderful it would feel to actually make a go of her writing and she’s thankful every day people actually want to read what she writes! She’s well aware of her good fortune and loves every moment of it, even when she has to edit and put Barbie’s dresses back on over and over again. She still hasn’t managed to figure out how to shut out the sound of the Backyardigans so she can write a love scene, though.
Interview Questions:
1.) How did you get started in writing and how long have you been doing it? I started writing seriously in 2004 because I was on pregnancy bed rest. My husband brought home a second hand laptop and I gave it a go. The first time I wrote “the end” I was hooked.
2.) What genres/subgenres are your favorites to write within and do you have any aspirations to write outside your current genres/subgenres. Try something new?My favorite genre to write is paranormal. I love to make stuff up, I love building worlds! But I do also love to write contemporaries and futuristics as well. I’ve often wished I had the voice for historicals but I just don’t.
3.) What are you working on now and what releases do you have coming up?I’m working on a new series idea. Currently it doesn’t have a title but I can tell you it’s set in a small town in Tennessee! Coming up? Well let’s see – I just had Always release from Samhain on the 14th, but on May 1, I’ll have What Happens in Vegas…After Dark from Harlequin Spice along with the ever so fabulous Anya! And then just three days later on the 4th, RELENTLESS, my follow up to December’s Undercover, will release from Berkley Heat.
4.) Anything else you’d like to share?Just my thanks that you’re having me today and a thanks to the readers! I’d love to extend a welcome for folks to check out my blog and website for all current and upcoming news.

Name three things you want to do before you kick off into the great unknown – places to visit, things to accomplish:
Lauren says:
1. Be the best mother I can be
2. Travel as much as I possibly can all over the US and the rest of the world
3. Make the NYT Bestseller list
Okay, blog readers, name three things YOU want to do before you kick off.
Right now, I’m a redhead. I’ve been blonde and brunette as the situation requires, though an unscheduled color change usually means relocating in the middle of the night. So far, I’m doing well here. Nobody knows what I’m running from. And I’d like to keep it that way…
Eighteen months ago, Corine Solomon crossed the border to Mexico City, fleeing her past, her lover, and her “gift”. Corine, a handler, can touch something and know its history—and sometimes, its future. Using her ability, she can find the missing—and that’s why people never stop trying to find her. People like her ex, Chance…
Chance, whose uncanny luck has led him to her doorstep, needs her help. Someone dear to them both has gone missing in Laredo, Texas, and the only hope of finding her is through Corine’s gift. But their search may prove dangerous as the trail leads them into a strange dark world of demons and sorcerers, ghosts and witchcraft, zombies—and black magic…
Author bio: Ann is a national bestselling author with three ongoing series. She has a degree in English Literature and a seriously spotty resume. Before she began writing full time, she was a clown, a clerk, a voice actress, and a savior of stray kittens, not necessarily in that order. She grew up in a yellow house across from a cornfield, but now she lives in sunny Mexico with her husband, two children, two cats, and one very lazy dog. She likes books with too much sex and violence, emo music, action movies and Dr. Who. Under her own name, she publishes romantic science fiction and urban fantasy. As Ava Gray, she writes high-octane romances.
Interview Questions:
1.) How did you get started in writing and how long have you been doing it?I’ve wanted to write ever since I learned people could put words together to make stories. At age nine, I wrote my first “book” and I’ve been working at it ever since. That’s nearly 30 years now.
2.) What genres/subgenres are your favorites to write within and do you have any aspirations to write outside your current genres/subgenres. Try something new? I write fantasy, science fiction, and romance, and I’m perfectly content with that.
3.) What are you working on now and what releases do you have coming up?I just finished up SKIN TIGHT, a romance. BLUE DIABLO, an urban fantasy, came out this month. My next release will be DOUBLEBLIND, the third Jax novel, and that comes out September 29.
4.) Anything else you’d like to share?I love hearing from readers! I invite them to get in touch with me via email. Nothing pleases me more than getting a note from someone who liked my book, while I’m working on the next one.
Readers, here is the contest part. Answer this question in the comments to be entered in a drawing for a copy of BLUE DIABLO. Check back to tomorrow for the announcement of the winner. The winner will have until May 5th (that’s the last day of the contest) to contact me in order to collect the prize. This contest IS open to non-US entrants.

Exile…or love. Life…or death. His demons will force him to choose.
Gunslinger Kincaid has traded his black clothes and pistols for a homespun shirt and trousers. Now he’s Cade Brody, a man with dark hair, dark eyes and an even darker past. The blood money he’s earned bought him a small piece of property in New Mexico territory, at the base of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. But it can’t buy him peace.
Sabrina Edmonds, a tough, no-nonsense widow, runs the post office and store in the small town of Eustace. She’s made her way in life with an independent streak a mile wide. Sabrina doesn’t want to get involved with Cade, but she finds herself drawn to the dark stranger who hides in his mountain retreat.
Cade wants nothing more than to be left alone, but an elusive wild child who delights in tormenting him, and a town full of people determined to befriend him, conspire to intrude upon his self-imposed exile. Then there’s Sabrina, who should be afraid of him—but isn’t.
Not even when the deadly demons of his past catch up with him.
Author Bio:You can’t say cowboys without thinking of Beth Williamson. Her love for all things western shines through in her writing. A true Scorpio, she once described her “word” as passion. Read her work and discover for yourself how hot and enticing a cowboy can be.

Born and raised in New York, she holds a B.F.A. in writing from New York University. Currently, Beth lives just outside of Raleigh, North Carolina, with her husband and two sons. She welcomes readers to contact her on her website or by e-mail.
Interview Questions:
1.) How did you get started in writing and how long have you been doing it?I’ve always been a writer, since third grade I think. I finally got up the nerve when I was in my late thirties to actually submit a manuscript to a publisher and was fortunate enough to have my first book published in 2004.
2.) What genres/subgenres are your favorites to write within and do you have any aspirations to write outside your current genres/subgenres. Try something new?Oh, I am known for my sexy westersn—a bit obsessive about the cowboys. *blush* I also write some contemporary erotica, kind of my chocolate after the dinner. ;)
3.) What are you working on now and what releases do you have coming up?Releases coming up include Hell for Leather from Samhain in April, On His Knees (contemporary erotica from Samhain), and the Redemption of Micah from Kensington Brava in July. I am working on several things. The first is the fourth book in my Devils on Horseback series for Samhain – this is Lee’s story, my first one-armed hero. It’s challenging, exciting and wonderful. I’m also working on the second in the Private Lives contemporary erotica novellas – these are all about married/divorced/separated women and how they take charge of their sex lives and their men.
4.) Anything else you’d like to share?I love books. LMAO. Really though, I want to say thanks to all the readers who continue to take chances on us authors. I feel truly lucky to have all that I do and to be able to write what I love.
Readers, here is the contest part. Answer this question in the comments to be entered in a drawing for a copy of HELL FOR LEATHER. Check back to tomorrow for the announcement of the winner. The winner will have until May 5th (that’s the last day of the contest) to contact me in order to collect the prize. This contest IS open to non-US entrants.
Imagine you’re leaving Earth for a faraway place with very different food. What’s the meal you have on the eve of your departure, knowing you’ll never again be able to eat it?:
Beth says:Oh, that’d have to be macaroni and cheese. My favorite food!
Okay, blog readers, now you tell us what YOU would eat.
